Marvellous Moringa: The Plant Based Complete Protein
We have recently added organic moringa powder to our range. Here's the essential info:
What Is Moringa?
Moringa is a small tree native to Asia, Africa and Latin America. It's commonly known as 'drumstick tree' or 'horseradish tree'. There are 13 different species of moringa, with Moringa oleifera being the most widely eaten and studied.
The moringa tree grows fast and can tolerate dry heat and other harsh conditions, requiring little in the way of water, which means it can grow in places experiencing drought. The moringa tree is almost entirely edible - the seeds, roots, leaves and flowers can all be eaten.

The Tree Of Life:
You may have heard the words "miracle tree" or "tree of life" touted about when describing moringa and you'd be forgiven for being at least a little bit sceptical. However, on closer inspection, these claims do carry some weight, mostly due to its very impressive nutritional profile.
Moringa is a complete plant protein, which means it contains all 9 essential amino acids. This makes it great for vegans and anyone wanting to top up their protein intake. It's also naturally gluten-free.
High in Vitamins and minerals:
A serving of fresh leaves from the moringa tree contains 7 times the amount of vitamin C in the equivalent amount of oranges, 4 times the vitamin A of carrots, 4 times the calcium of milk, 3 times the potassium of bananas and twice the protein of yogurt. It also contains measurable amounts of vitamins B1, B2 B3, B6, B7, A, C, K, E, D and minerals chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and zinc.
