Recipe: Organic Hibiscus Tea
Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae.
It's a powerful herb used in Ayurveda and other traditional medical treatments for thousands of years.
Dried hibiscus flowers are traditionally consumed as a soothing tea that can be served hot or cold. The beverage is known for its red colour, tart flavour and vitamin C content. You can also use it in sweet and savoury cooking.
How to make a refreshing Organic Hibiscus Tea:
+ Warm (but don't boil) water and pour into a teapot
+ Add 1-2 teaspoons of dried hibiscus flowers for each cup of water
+ Steep for 5-10 minutes
+ Strain the tea into a mug
+ Add honey to taste
+ Serve hot or cold
